According to the brewer, this is probably the last bottle of the "old batch" in existence before the change in recipe. This old recipe, per the brewer(s), was the better of the two. It has a dark-brown color and a light-brown head. Its aroma is sweet and malty, thick and meaty, much like a sweet, robust porter. It gives a numbing, soft, sweet, almost watery mouth feel and flavor. It tastes like a well-aged beer... at only one year old. Good. - Noss
