7.2% Gose Soured on Colombian Mangoes, with Lulo, Soursop and Colombian Lime zest. . Spanning over five decades, the Colombian Civil War has raged on with a bloody history of violent clashes, assassinations, guerrilla warfare and human rights violations. The Liberal and Conservative political parties with their internecine feuds have constantly had civilians caught in the crossfire. La Violencia was a particularly violent era spanning from the late 1940’s to 1950’s, with over 200,000 dead and echoes of 3,000 killed a year. A majority of the population has not known an era of peace their entire lives. Fighting for territory in the countryside, Peasant militias, paramilitary and military used guerrilla and psychological warfare as a grotesque tool, The Colombian Necktie being one of them. Sometimes even done post mortem, it was less for the victim than it was to send a haunting message to the surviving witnesses of the carnage. Slicing a deep cut across the neck, the tongue was then pulled through the gash allowing it to dangle down the chest. When done to the living, the victim would die from bloodloss, asphyxiation or drowning in their own blood. . Inspiration of flavors came from Champús (an indigenous drink used in funeral rituals in parts of South America) Overripe Mango, bright floral citrus tang, acidic Lulo funk aromatics. Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial S'Mores Stout built on a blend of Darkstar November and a viscous Rye Double Mash base that was brewed and finished with hundreds of pounds of marshmallows, graham crackers, and cacao nibs.⁣ ⁣ This beer honors the mysterious legacy of The Ghost Army, a secret US Army Unit comprised of artists, set designers, filmmakers, and sound engineers. These creatives used a combination of spoof radio, sound effects, and visual deceptions like rubber airplanes and inflatable tanks to save tens of thousands of Allied soldiers' lives by staging more than twenty battlefield deceptions between 1944 and 1945.
