Similar to the fan-favorite San Diego Pale Ale .394, this beer pays tribute to Hall-of-Famer Tony Gwynn and the career-high batting average that he achieved with the Padres in ’94. Hazy .394 showcases an intense hop aroma of tropical fruit and citrus, but delivers a fuller-bodied pour than its predecessor, along with a smooth and creamy finish. It’s a guaranteed hit!

Frozen Lands DIPA is our first exertion into cold dry-hopping techniques. For this latest edition of our Light Visions Collection we maintained an average dry-hopping schedule of 2 dry-hops during active fermentation, but then added a third dry-hop post-fermentation. Once the beer was cooled to 32F we hit the batch with a heavy dose of highly concentrated Sabro Hops. Juicy, tropical and smooth DIPA with notes of Passionfruit, ripe Peach and a slight pinch of Pine Resin.

SPICED DOUBLE WINTER ALE Swedish flags are a fairly common sight in our part of the country. Holiday parties often have warm concoctions of spices and booze at the ready to knock the ice off of toes while raising spirits. We were inspired by a “Glögg” party, deciding on the spot to brew a beer that pays tribute to this Nordic tradition. 2XMAS ale combines traditional brewing ingredients with figs, orange peels, cardamom, cinnamon, clove and ginger root. It’s a holiday addition to the 2X line and another reason to toast to the season, but unlike Glögg, we recommend serving this one chilled.

The rumors are true. Often whispered about in the darkest corners of the beer community, World Wide Stout just got a little more complex and whole lot more sought-after. Brewed with a ridiculous amount of barley, you might be wondering how this boundary-pusher could get any more boisterous. One word – Utopias. Chock full of intricate aromas and warming flavors, Sam Adams Utopias is a unique blend of aged ales dating back more than 25 years – the perfect complement to an already complex World Wide Stout. And thanks to a shipment of freshly emptied Utopias barrels from our friends at Sam Adams, we were able to see just how well these two beloved brews would mingle. After sitting in the barrels for a full year, Utopias Barrel-Aged World Wide Stout was born. The result is a jet-black, rich and roasty beer with balanced notes of espresso, cocoa, sherry and vanilla that clocks in at 17.3% ABV. Utopias Barrel-Aged World Wide Stout goes great with (or as!) dessert and is an excellent candidate for cellaring, so grab a few bottles to enjoy now and lay the others down for a few years to share with someone you love.
